Lawdog Sports is a culmination of over ten years of persistence, dedication, vision, and hard work. It is both my profession and my passion. I’m a sports agent.  I manage professional athletes, more specifically, professional motorcycle racers.  And currently, I proudly manage JD Beach and Cam Beaubier, two of the most promising young American motorcycle racers in the world.  I also am the proud operations manager for the Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup.

It has been a long and fun road, and it all began after graduating from East Carolina University (www.ecu.edu) with a business degree.  I took the degree and I headed straight to law school. I wasn't sure exactly how I was going to break into the racing business, but I decided that having a law degree wouldn't hurt. It was during my second year of law school, at Emory School of Law (www.law.emory.edu), that I began working with Lee Bivens (www.artlee.com). Lee is an incredible sports artist that has worked with every conceivable sporting legend in every conceivable sporting arena. From Evander Holyfield to Mohammed Ali. From Pele to Eddie Lawson. From Scott Russell to Dale Earnhardt. Needless to say, Lee has an impressive portfolio. He also has an extensive motorcycle racing background, and helped me break into the business. But more than that, he has been a great source of inspiration and motivation. He also is the one who coined my nickname, "Lawdog".

During law school, and since graduating, I worked with any client that I could get my hands on; trying to learn all that I could. I worked with great people and personalities like Dave Sadowski, Gary Rothwell, Mike Ciccotto, just to name a few.  I made some mistakes, learned from them, had some big successes, and kept progressing. I attacked my job in the same way a racer attacks his. I trained, I prepared, I learned, I practiced, and I applied what I learned to the next task. It's this thoroughness and relentless attention to detail that continues to work so well for me and for my clients.  And I absolutely have been honored to have devoted my time and energy to every single person I have been associated with, and I value my friendship with everyone in my sport.

Racing is in my blood, pure and simple.  And with my education, racing knowledge, legal and business background, along with my genuine respect of those that I deal with, I protect my clients’ interests while creating new and exciting opportunities for them.  I negotiate their contracts, generate their PR, communicate with their sponsors, protect their business and professional interests, introduce them to new sponsors, absorb my life into theirs, and generally handle every possible business aspect of their careers so that they can focus on training and winning. I also build strong and genuine relationships with sponsors and with the people I negotiate with, and always ensure that respect and integrity are key components in the relationship.

I'm confident in my abilities, yet I'm willing to learn from my clients and adapt my role as necessary to ensure my clients' success.  Through our partnership, both our careers grow.

But at the end of the day, the thing I can say with the most certainty is that I love my job!
